The TPLC Scholastic Book Fair is scheduled for the week of November 16-19,
2026, and I'm thrilled to announce that The Window Rock School District has
made it possible for every single student at our school to take home 5 books for
free

Join us as we honor and celebrate Native American culture, traditions, languages, and pride during our Native American Spirit Week activities.

There are many exciting activities happening this month! Please review the November Newsletter and mark your calendars for important dates and events.

We are excited to welcome Navajo author Alana Yazzie (The Fancy Navajo) to our school and community as she shares her new children's cookbook with students, families, and community members.
This special event celebrates Native foods, cultural traditions, and the importance of passing this valuable knowledge on to future generations. We hope it will bring families together for an engaging and meaningful evening focused on learning, community connection, and cultural appreciation.

Attached is our updated bus route schedule. Please note that the schedule is subject to change. Additionally, when a bus is unavailable due to maintenance or other issues, a different bus may be used to cover the route.
If you have any questions, please give us a call at transportation.

Families with students who do not have electricity at home may qualify for free solar power assistance.

TO QUALIFY, YOU MUST:
• Have at least one student in pre-K through 12th grade living in the home
• Live on Navajo Nation or other Tribal Land
• Home is not currently connected to the power grid

Solar power can give students access to electricity at home to support their learning and everyday needs.

Need Help Getting Glasses for Your Student?

Window Rock Unified School District No. 8 has a program available to assist students who need help obtaining glasses and already have a current prescription. Please see the attached flyer and scan the QR Code to complete the application.

Starting with the 2026–2027 school year, Window Rock Unified School District is implementing the Arizona Healthy Schools Act (A.R.S. 15-242.01) that was passed legislatively by the State of Arizona on May 4th, 2026. We appreciate our community's partnership in making this legislation from the State of Arizona a smooth transition. Please check ingredient labels for synthetic colors before sending snacks to school events.
